Older homes line the streets around the Parker County courthouse square, and Chandor Gardens sits in one of the older neighborhoods. Lake Weatherford is just east of town, and Parker County acreage along Interstate 20 has room for a big covered patio.

City of Weatherford Development Services issues residential permits inside the city. Newer subdivisions usually have an HOA whose approval comes first. Outside city limits, Parker County has little or no residential permitting, which covers most acreage homes.
The ground under the posts
Clay and rocky ground, with limestone at shallow depth in places. Clay lots need engineered piers below the active zone. Where rock shows up, the pier holes get drilled, and that gets priced when it is found.
